The Fall

Spook of the past, chasing
Corridors of memories imploding into a chasm
Illuminous images talk through the whispering oath
I heard it all, lived to see it all
Now recreation enacts a mystic symphony

Confounded by the moment, our time runs thin
Attention span mirrors the excitement of a kiss
Maybe touched by the melody, we sung the night, remember?
Now it only induces a vile gag, and repercussions
Slipping under the influence of it all

Sleep like a baby, the morrow gets us farther away
From every dream we embellished in unison
I felt the void deep under my feet, why did I move
Stepping in an impending trap of resolution
Hurricanes of horrifying magnitude swept my chimera
